Quality standards

GD Animal Health is unique in having multidisciplinary state-of-the-art laboratories, including R&D support, all on one site.

The laboratory of GD Animal Health has 130 employees and is supported by experts in chemistry, microbiology, virology, veterinary medicine and veterinary pathology ensuring state-of-the-art techniques and methods.

The GD Animal Health laboratory has been ISO 17025 accredited by the Dutch Accreditation Board (RvA) for a large number of laboratory tests (registration number L120).

GD Animal Health is formally accredited according to the ISO 17043:2010 for the organisation of a large number of PTS for antibody detection (registration number R016). All other PTS offered by GD Animal Health are organised according to this guideline.

In addition, GD Animal Health is also ISO 9001 certified, which means that GD Animal Health works according to a quality-management system that meets the requirements of the standard ISO 9001, and is continuously improving the organisation and its processes in order to meet customer expectations and deliver customer satisfaction.

For years, GD Animal Health has partnered pharmaceutical companies worldwide by performing studies on biologicals and chemicals for poultry, pigs, cattle and small ruminants in accordance with international standards and requirements (e.g. EP monographs, VICH and OIE guidelines). Studies can be performed to meet GCP standards. Currently, we are implementing GLP for our laboratory studies, which is expected to be effective in the second quarter of 2016.
