Become a poultry expert and join the first module of the Poultry Health Science Postgraduate Course on Infectious Bronchitis Virus. The first module will start 22 January 2024.

The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Utrecht and Royal GD developed this online postgraduate course for veterinarians and postgraduate students working with poultry. Designed to produce internationally recognised experts in poultry health care, the programme covers key topics such as diagnostics, evidence-based medicine, disease management, animal welfare and food safety. Join us in addressing the global challenges of sustainable poultry health care.

Start Date Module 1: Infectious bronchitis virus - January 22, 2024

Explore the complexities of infectious bronchitis virus (IBV), gaining insights that bridge scientific knowledge with practical field expertise. In this 4 week module a broad overview on infectious bronchitis virus will be given. Topics are: new IBV strains, virulence, transmission, susceptibility in relation to cleaning and disinfection/stability, pathogenesis, clinical manifestations and economic impact, interactions with other pathogens, immune responses, diagnostic techniques, interpretation of laboratory results, vaccination, cross protection, interference and treatments.
