Activity

The purpose of the twinning programme is to strengthen the National Sanitary Veterinary Service through capacity building at specific levels in respect of epidemiology, disease surveillance, prevention and control of diseases with particular reference to List A and zoonotic diseases including strengthening of laboratory services. GD provided assistance with the creation of an epidemiological unit, strategic veterinary planning, the planning of a national veterinary information network, development of laboratory services and contingency planning.
GD provided training in epidemiology, laboratory quality systems and information networks.
