12/2/2025:

According to information from the Netherlands Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA), no new clinical suspicions of BTV infections were reported in the second quarter of 2025. There were no positive PCR results indicating recent infections. Blood tests will no longer be reimbursed from 1 July 2025 onwards, but the obligation to notify suspected BTV cases will remain in effect.
